If you didn’t specify a built-in Bluetooth hands-free kit in your car, Bury says its new EasyTouch speakerphone is an ideal alternative. But what’s our verdict?

It’s certainly easy to pair to your phone: simply turn it on and search. Voice guides let you know when you’re connected.

The EasyTouch has a firm mount that gripped our visor securely, and you can extend the microphone to put it closer to your mouth.

We made a call on the move, and could hear the person at the other end of the line clearly. They couldn’t hear us too well, though, and when we turned up the volume, background noise became too much of an issue. This also highlighted the Bury’s flawed controls.

Instead of buttons with feedback, you get smooth switches that light up briefly – but only when you press them. So you end up running your fingers over the device in the hope you’ve hit the right control.

The charging cable is adequate, but as with other visor-mounted loudspeakers, it’s best to power up at home, then use it wirelessly. Our main gripe, though, is the price: £70 is just too much given the sound quality.
