Continental ContiForceContact

Price: £200 (225/40R18)

Continental has launched its first road-legal track tyre for driving enthusiasts. The ContiForceContact has been designed to get the best from high-performance cars, and was developed with the help of tuning companies AC Schnitzer and TechArt.

The Black Chilli compound has special high-grip resins to maximise dry grip, and the tread blocks have been widened to improve handling. Continental also claims that the tyre’s shoulders help to provide stability and adhesion through corners.

Although the tyre is more focused on delivering dry performance, there are bi-directional drainage grooves cut into the inside of the tread to help you get home from the track whatever the weather.

There are 10 sizes of rubber available, covering 18, 19 and 20-inch wheels. Prices start from around £200 for the smallest 225/40R18 tyre.
