Long term test review: Vauxhall Corsa - pictures

We're finding our Corsa tackles the miles with ease, so we're thinking about gearing up for a Continental road trip to see if it's up to the job.

<p class="p1">We've covered over 8,000 miles in our supermini, but long motorway journeys have been comfortable. Six gears mean it's a great cruiser, too.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="p1">Handling is decent on back roads, but the Corsa has impressed us most when cruising.</p>

Our Vauxhall Corsa doesn't have split-folding rear seats, so packing four passengers in with all their luggage is an issue.&nbsp;

Trying to pack passengers' luggage into the boot of the Corsa is a bit like playing a game of Tetris.

Boot space expands to 1,090 litres, although a 50:50 or 60:40 divide in the seatback would make it more usable.&nbsp;

Rear provides decent space for adult passengers, although Excite can't even be specified with split rear seat as an option.

The handling can't quite match that of the Ford Fiesta.

Dashboard design is a vast improvement over previous car's, with IntelliLink touchscreen adding smartphone connectivity.&nbsp;

Our Vauxhall Corsa is the 1.0 Turbo model putting out 113bhp, in Excite trim.&nbsp;

Mid-range Excite trim comes with Bluetooth connectivity, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and hill start assist.&nbsp;

16-inch wheels come standard on Excite trim.&nbsp;

LED daytime running lights add a classy look to the revised front-end of the new Vauxhall Corsa.&nbsp;

IntelliLink infotainment system is easy to use, and while there's no built-in sat-nav, you can download one quickly to your smartphone and mirror it onto the car's colour touchscreen.&nbsp;
