<p class="p1">Handling is decent on back roads, but the Corsa has impressed us most when cruising.</p>

The bigger 1.2 litre CDTi diesel engine is the most economical, Vauxhall claims the CDTi engine will do 88.3mpg with CO2 levels of 85g/km.

<p class="p1">We've covered over 8,000 miles in our supermini, but long motorway journeys have been comfortable. Six gears mean it's a great cruiser, too.&nbsp;</p>

The Corsa is not very different from the older model when it comes to looks and it rides on the same platform. Although Vauxhall has made heavy modifications under the skin.

And if you’re looking for a little more power, the VXR model is the best option.

The 1.0 litre three-cylinder turbo is available at 89bhp or 113bhp forms.

Redesigned headlights have been fitted with LEC running lights.

The wheels on the Corsa are one of the few elements that have been redesigned.

The Vauxhall Corsa is also available with 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engines

Vauxhall has focused more time on improving the interior quality on the Corsa

Vauxhall has improved the Corsa's gearbox in order to compete with the sweet-shifting Fiesta and Mazda 2.

Not much has changed in terms of size, the headroom and legroom in the rear is enough for three.

The boot space is plentyful however, a high boot lip can make it hard to load items.
