This is a special edition Mercedes Benz SL, the Mille Miglia 417.

The SL Mille Miglia 417 was built in honour of the legendary 1,000-mile race and legendary racer John Fitch.

The interior of the SL has been given a carbon-fibre effect and red detailing to mark it out as a special edition.

The exterior of this special edition follows the same carbon-effect and red theme.

The SL is fitted with a 4.7-litre turbocharged V8 engine from the SL500 that produces 448bhp and sprints from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds.

Only 500 of these special edition Mercedes SL Mille Miglias will be up for sale for £95,355, £12,000 more than the standard SL500.

The SL Mille Miglia 417 does not change significantly compared to the standard SL500 when it comes to performance.

The Mille Miglia comes with a seven-speed auto gearbox. It's is not very quick but the powerful engine does more then enough to compensate for it.

The Mille Miglia comes in Magnetite Black metallic paintwork as standard.

There are three colour options in total.

As with other SLs, the Mille Miglia 417 is a very accomplished grand tourer thanks to a comfortable ride.

Overall the Mille Miglia only offers exclusivity over the rest of the SL range.
