Back For Good

Gloss returns faded trim to past glory

Even the shiniest paintwork can be let down by faded plastic trims. But new Back For Good pledges to permanently restore them to showroom condition.

We were amazed at how little was needed to make a big difference – a quick dab on the provided cloth managed to rejuvenate a section of our door trim. Consistent application and thorough preparation are key to getting a uniform finish, though. In fact, unless you remove all the grime from the surface, the coating will simply seal this in, leaving you with dirty-looking plastic for years to come. The liquid was extremely sticky, but the kit is supplied with a free pair of disposable gloves, which makes it easier to use.

Even on our test vehicle, which only had mildly faded trims, we could easily see the difference. However, you have to wait a full hour after application to drive the car, and a whole day until the coating has completely cured. Initially, it might appear to be expensive, but when you factor in how long it should last, and how many vehicles even the smallest bottle will do, Back For Good is an appealing proposition.
