Mercedes C-Class Coupe 2016 first ride - pictures

The Mercedes C-Class Coupe is e<span>xpected to go on sale towards the end of 2015.</span>

The car is clearly inspired by the new S-Class coupe.

The interior apes the S-Class' too, as with the standard C-Class.

The C-Class Coupe takes on the BMW 4 Series.

The Mercedes-AMG C63 version will rival the new BMW M4, too.

A sleek cabriolet will follow the coupe further down the line.

There are still no full shots of the rear, but this is our best look yet.

<span>The engine range will be carried over, with a choice of turbocharged petrols and diesel engines and possibly the Mercedes BlueTEC hybrid powertrain.</span>

<span>The front end of the Coupe will be familiar to existing new C-Class owners, but the bonnet appears slightly elongated and the lights have been stretched back.&nbsp;</span>

<span>At the rear, although the car is in camouflage, you can see the S-Class Coupe influence on the shape.</span>
