  • Best cars to own - driver power

Click through the gallery to see the ratings for some of the key cars and category winners from Driver Power 2015.

  • Driver Power key car: Lexus IS

This year's overall winner is the Lexus IS - it scored extremely well in many different categories, as you can see.

  • Driver Power key car: Skoda Yeti

The Skoda Yeti is a previous Driver Power winner, but settles for second this year. Its overall score has actually increased since last year - but the standard was just so much higher this year.

  • Driver Power key car: Hyundai i10

A podium finish for the Hyundai i10 is great news for the Korean brand. Top scores in the reliability, running costs and ease of driving categories will be good news for city car buyers.

  • Driver Power key car: SEAT Leon

The SEAT Leon was this year's best compact family car, with a top score in the in-car tech category and a strong overall result - it came 4th.

  • Driver Power key car: Renault ZOE

The ZOE is the highest-placed electric car in the survey, and is also the top car for running costs. It came second in the ease of driving category, too.

  • Driver Power key car: Lexus NX

The Lexus NX is rather new, but that didn't stop its owners rating it very highly - it finishes 6th overall and first in the build quality category.

  • Driver Power key car: Jaguar XJ

The Jaguar XJ won the best executive car category, with a strong score in every category apart from reliability, and an average one in practicality.

  • Driver Power key car: Nissan LEAF

The Nissan LEAF is the second electric car in the top 10 this year, and unlike the other (the Renault ZOE) it placed highly for reliability as well.

  • Driver Power key car: MINI

The new MINI was the third-best car in the supermini class, and owners took it to ninth place overall in the 2015 poll.

  • Driver Power key car: MG 3

MG owners clearly love their cars - the MG 3 makes it into the top 10 in its first year on the survey. Its only real problem was poor performance.

  • Driver Power key car: Skoda Superb

The best family car this year was the Skoda Superb - and it actually scored exactly the same as last year in the survey. That shows just how solid this car is in the eyes of its owners.

  • Driver Power key car: BMW 4 Series

The best car in the sports car class this year was the new BMW 4 Series coupe. It had a great all-round perofrmance in the poll, with only its practicality letting the side down a bit.

  • Driver Power key car: Toyota iQ

The Toyota iQ has its share of problems, but it's noteworthy for being the number one most reliable car as rated by owners.

  • Driver Power key car: Skoda Roomster

The Skoda Roomster finished 62nd in this year's survey results, but still managed to take the prize for the best MPV - and a score of 88.92% overall is certainly still a great result for a car that's been on sale since 2006.

  • Driver Power key car: Land Rover Discovery

The Land Rover Discovery might not be the most reliable car on the list, but very high scores in the practicality and ride quality categories mean it's worth a look.

  • Driver Power key car: Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 (997) didn't even make the top 100 cars, but it's still top dog when it comes to performance - owners love it for that.

  • Driver Power key car: Porsche Boxster

The Porsche Boxster might not be practical, comfortable or cheap to run, but in the road handling category it wins top prize.
